Baking Cookies with Your Toddler

How to Make Easy Sugar Cookies.

I love cookies, don’t you?

There are tons of cookie recipes out there but have you found a recipe that’s easy enough to make with your toddler? Mommy sure did and we tried it today! We made sugar cookies (yummy!) and they turned out so good! Our ingredients were as follows:

  • 1 cup softened butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Preheat Oven to 400°

First, get your mixing bowl ready! Add cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla extract then start blending! To mix it you’ll have to add flour and baking powder; once mixed you can choose what shape you want your Sugar Cookies to be. Mommy bought animal cookie cutters which is awesome since I love animals!

Bake for 7 minutes.

You can tell your cookies are ready when they’re nicely brown around the edges. Once they’re ready and cooled off a bit the fun part can begin! Get your colorful frosting/sprinkles out and be creative! It’s so much fun but better yet – wait, until you eat them! Delicious!

Happy Baking!
